Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.
Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter time you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground through the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, cinemas and food courts.
From here metros will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.
In summer, stay closer to the old town and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t fine enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to the Montreal Casino.
Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.
Wonderful people. Great food. I loved the Metro - fast clean and convenient. I got to practice my French language and when I stumbled I went right into English. The residents were courteous and patient. I plan to return. There were many restaurants we missed. We used Uber a few times. No problems. We went to a really neat farm market. We dined for lunch at the top of the RBC bank building - Sushi. View spectacular on the 46th floor. A favorite spot for dinner or drinks was the L'orignal at 479 St. Alexis Street Montreal. Sit at the bar. Michael the owner is a most unforgettable character.

Old Montreal is a safe, clean city with plenty to see and experience. We were able to easily walk to downtown and used the hop on hop off bus to see all the attractions. We took the Metro to see the biodome that we all enjoyed and did an all day bus trip to Quebec city that was wonderful.

Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city.
Montreal is a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant city. It exceeded my expectations. Getting around Montreal was quite easy. UBER is accessible and cost-effective and it is a walkable city.
Old Montreal is much like being in Europe and is worth the time.
I would avoid the Hop On/Hop Off and book a more informed overview of the city. The Aura light show at the Basilica is well worth the time and money and the Walking Tour of Old Montreal with Marie as a guide was terrific.

Montreal was much easier to walk around than I had anticipated - I used public transport only to get to the airport and back. Pointe-a-Calliere museum https://pacmusee.qc.ca/en/ was superb. Didn't have time to see all Montreal has to offer as I was on a business trip, but walking around the Old Town is nice, also up Mont Real itself.

There are many things to do in Montreal.
There are many things to do in Montreal. Getting the Montreal Passeport and planning your trip in advance (making reservations) will do you well. Many things to do for both kids and adults. Food was great! It was our second time so we didn't do some of the things we already did before. Our itinerary went like this:
Day of arrival: 6PM Art Chaos - Spin Art and Bar, then Schwartz' Deli for Dinner
Day 2: Breakfast at Le Bisco (buffet) at Hotel Bonaventure. Montreal Biodome, Insectarium, Jean Talon Market, and Laser Tag Evolution in Marche Central. Montreal Casino in the evening. Night Swimming at Hotel Bonaventure.
Day 3: Habitat 67, Mount Royal Lookout (Kondiaronk Belvedere), Late Breakfast/Early Lunch at Le Croissanterie Figaro. Le Grande Roue (Ferris Wheel), Notre Dame Basilica, Chinatown. Late Lunch at Dobe & Andy, which was fantastic. Dragon Beard Candy. Afternoon coffee from Cafe Olimpico. Night Swimming at Hotel Bonaventure
Day 4, Day of Departure: Some decided to stay in to swim, so a couple did a breakfast run: got some chocolate babka from Boulangerie Cheskie (amazing!), a dozen croissants from Le Saint Louis (amazing again! this is to take back home too), and coffee and tea from Cafe Alphabet, which was also good. Oasis Immersion at 11:00AM (reservation for 10:40AM, but they let us i no problem). Went to Carrefour for a second to buy some fountain pen ink at Stylo.ca. Sunday Brunch at Renoir at 1:30.
Most of the activities were included in the Montreal Passeport and made it a great value. We could've done more museums, but we were with a 7 year old child, who would get bored.
We had a great time. Food was great. Lots of things to do! Definitely recommend the places we visited. The hotel pool makes staying at Hotel Bonaventure worth it, especially in snowy weather.
The location is amazing! The room was much nicer than the pictures made it seem. It was the fastest and most efficient check-in I have ever experienced.
The women on the front desk knew we were in town, along with many others (for a concert). They asked us how it was and how long we had to wait, due to covid. They were genuinely happy for us.
The cost of many hotels in downtown Montreal is very high. This one was literally the cheapest, and it was still amazing.
I will absolutely stay here the next time I am in Montreal.
Very much a superior location, connected to Montreal underground: It is possible to travel almost anywhere downtown without a jacket during the winter. The hotel also has superior sports facilities: an excellent well stocked gym, great swimming pool / hot tub with reserved time for adults (after 8p). Staff had plenty of Christmas perks for kids. Our go-to hotel for Christmas time in Montreal. A+
I try to stay at the Omni Montreal whenever I go to the city. It is not a new facility but the rooms are clean, large, and well appointed. The views are great on the Mont Royal side of the hotel above the 15th floor or so. Staff is very helpful every time I visit. The location is great for enjoying the downtown activities and it is located next to the Peel Metro stop for other excursions.
Very modern amenities, cool 60's-70's retro
museum theme throughout. Perfect location, close to the water, and only a block away from the main Street in Old Montréal, also very walkable to downtown Montréal. Anyone who is a hockey fan (or even a sports fan) should request the hockey themed room. A small in/out parking lot is only a block away and can be billed thorough the hotel.
The hotel is in a very good position: downtown can be reached by walking and the Vieux Montréal is only 10 minutes by metro. My room was huge and the cleaning was always excellent. The bathroom was large and clean as well. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was available, but I did not try it (I could not resist the bagels at Kettleman just 3 minutes away on foot...).
Great hotel to stay at in the center of downtown Montreal. It's right next to the Bell Centre and some famous restaurants like Okeya Kyujiro. Everything from the reception, lobby, room and facilities are great as well.
I highly suggest you take a look at the 12th floor's pool, spa and outdoor jacuzzi - it's a really nice setup that you can't easily find in other hotels.
The hotel is located in downtown Montreal and within walking distance to Old Montreal and all the shops/restaurants Montreal has to offer. The staff were welcoming, polite, and very helpful. The room was nicely updated and adequate for our needs. The fitness room was clean and had a variety of equipment that you don't normally see in most hotel fitness rooms.
We were surprised and delighted to get a corner room which had nice sunlight and a great view. The location is fantastic. So easy to access Old Montreal and Chinatown and other downtown neighborhoods.
We walked many miles and also used public transportation which very accessible from the hotel.
We definitely would stay here again and recommend to others.
This hotel is located in a good area, close to Metro Station and downtown Montreal. I really liked that the offer free drinks - water, juices and coffee / tea / hot chocolate any time of the day.
Parking across the street in the underground parking lot, for $12 per night.
The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
I liked the feeling of safety while there and the service.
Promptness on room service request.
Staff welcoming and very helpful.
I liked my room with its provisions(iron, iron board , fridge, air-conditioner etc.
Shower time with refreshing body washes.
Towels provided clean!!!!!
I would recommend Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown- Hotel Europa.
The hotel was centrally located in Downtown Montreal. The property was very clean & modern; the staff were especially friendly and we loved the decor and style of the hotel. The fireplace was on the lobby which was great because it was cold the day we arrived. Our room was amazing and comfortable. They provided robes and slippers which were very nice.
We were recommended this hotel by our friends as it is pet friendly and we were able to bring our furbaby with us. The location is amazing as it was central and walkable to everywhere such as downtown, Mount Royal, and Old Montreal. The complimentary breakfast came with a variety of items whicu was great! The balcony was also a great touch.
Hotel staff were extremely accommodating, we had issues with our first room due to noise and our concerns were responded to very promptly, with our new room having a fantastic view of the Montréal skyline. Would thoroughly recommend to those not looking to stay in downtown Montréal, but a 15/20 mins walk away from the downtown attractions.
Beautiful oasis hotel on the 10th floor between skyscrapers in the middle of Montreal downtown.
Outside pool with heated water and bar.
Delicious and beautiful breakfast too. Comfortable beds and nice rooms.
Very friendly staff.
We will definitely come back and can recommend.
We liked how close the hotel was to downtown and old Montreal. We walked everywhere. The view from our room on the 9th floor was awesome. We didn’t use it but there’s almost a full kitchenette, microwave, fridge and sink in room.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location in downtown Montreal. The interior is very well appointed with lovely high ceilings in the rooms and beautiful views. The bed and linens were super comfy, just like home.
An excellent old hotel in downtown Montreal. Very reasonably priced, large rooms, that can fit the whole family. Nice breakfast bar.
This is an older hotel with older furnishings, but it is well run.
Very quaint. Chic. Clean. Well appointed. fresh coffee in the morning. Parking in downtown Montreal 1 minute walk from hotel. The owner was very kind and accommodating Thank you for your hospitality.
